| Recke's works are inspired and created by his love and desperate search for art.
In "Pistraction Skater-Klein (1996)," Recke's homage to Yves Klein, he painted his nose red, got on a skateboard and crashed into a gallery wall. Another example is series of drawings describing imaginative scenes in which Recke places the artists he admires. A video work, "Knowing You, Knowing Me" is a record of his interactions with the famous American artist, Robert Morris. |
