NEW LIFE 11 artists from Denmark and Sweden in TOKYO NEW LIFE is an consideration to post-industrial human life. In Japan, we already passed a life leading by technology and now we are coming a place where is so far from nature against our spiritual tradition. We can find such a human image, standing in post-industrial world, in artwork by young Japanese artists but, recently, in artwork by young Scandinavian young artists either. By started from the point, we consider about the similarity among some of Scandinavian countries and Japan have. In those cultural situations, art scene have experienced big turning in this 90's, it is also not simply belongs to the globalization stream in art. Through dialogue with mainly Danish and Swedish Artist, we intend to focus on the image of post-indusrial human and the image of new life which we desire. For the idea above, we proceed dialogue which introducing the culture in Scandinavia include movie, music, etc.
