Courbot began working as a garden artist and has a strong interest in the space surrounding humans. His extraordinary sensitivity causes him to react in certain ways to various scenes he encounters on trips and in everyday life. Courbot transforms the encountered environment into video and photographs creating floating images and returns them again into the environment surrounding humans.
Table Set, 1999, is created for this exhibition and will be used in the coffee lounge in front of Bunkamura Gallery. It will take you to another world. The same images will be shown on the projector. We are going to be Happy, 1998, music, will make us happy. It will be played in the Bunkamura building from morning until 2:00 pm during the exhibition. Other works to be exhibited are being planned now.
