Jouve seizes the transparent expression on people's faces on the street. Their true selves are revealed in a moment of no pretense. Exhibited works are all untitled and shot in Paris and New York. Photographs are of a gypsy boy she met outside of Paris, revealing his naivete; an ex-model who now works at a cheap bar in Brooklyn, who Jouve kept going back to shoot, and others.
